
So this week I’m trying a new idea, Intermittent Fasting. No, this is not just the driving time between Dunkin Donuts and McDonalds. This is a real thing. It’s when you only eat for a restricted time, like eating for 8 hours and fasting for at least 16 hours.
There is a plethora of articles and information from websites and youtube channels on intermittent fasting, but everyone is different. So I’ll just tell you my experience.
Instead of weighing myself at night I like to weigh myself first thing in the morning. That way I can feel like a fat loser all day long and not just for a little while at night. That also gives me my base guideline.
Sunday, December 7, 2025 7 AM I weighed 201.9 pounds.
I started on Sunday night after a huge dinner. I didn’t eat again until Tuesday night at 5 o’clock. By Tuesday morning I was down to 199.8 lbs.
Wednesday , Dec. 10th I weighed 199.2.
I am only eating about twice a day. I’m eating complete meals . I’m not cutting back on anything. The first meal is around 11 am and then dinner is around 4 to 5 o’clock.
Thursday, December 11, 2025 I weighed 200.1. I was expecting 160 so I’m a little disappointed. To pass the time this morning I am making rosemary bread. It will take a few hours to be ready and by then I can eat again! (what could go wrong)
Friday December 12, 2025. This morning I weighed 200.6??? I guess eating a loaf of Rosemary bread with butter wasn’t the best idea. There should have been a warning label on that stick of butter.
Saturday morning December 13, 2025. I again weighed 200.6. so at least I haven’t gained any weight . . . today.
I will admit that I sleep better without any food in my belly, but that’s about it. Today we are going to Chili’s. Bottom-less chips and chicken strips with fries.
Sunday Dec. 14th. I am up to 200.8. Yep I gained an 2 ounces since yesterday. But I must admit I feel better. I am hoping to lose a lot today if you know what I mean. I haven’t been to the bathroom in two days. (nope. didn’t help)
I did notice one thing I found interesting. I usually drink Diet coke at night. This gives me the strength and ability to get up and go to the bathroom a couple of times during the night. But since switching to iced tea, I am sleeping like a baby. Best sleep in years.
Finally! It’s been an entire week. December 15th. It’s Monday and I just weighed myself. 201.8 pounds.
I quit. What time does dunkin open?
